Lovely Setting - Rheba R - June 2016
Nice home in a beautiful setting. Tucked quietly away but close to town. Friendly owner - responsive, easy to work with.
Much more than just a nice vacation rental property - Lulunolu - Sept 2016
We've stayed at lots of rental homes through the years, and Terra Nova is truly one of the most idyllic. What made it so special for me was the unique way the property "feels" ...there is a tranquility and spirituality here that creates a home that is much more than just a nice place to stay. The 2 acre yard has lavender, beautiful dahlias, fruit trees, an herb/vegetable garden and flowering plants that encourage the bees and hummingbirds to stop by. There is a deep spirituality to the place that made it ideal for meditative walks. The interior is comfortable and well thought out, with 3 queen bedrooms that all have glass doors opening to the yard. Outside the master is a gurgling fountain and a hot tub with a shower. The kitchen has Viking and Sub-Zero appliances and is large enough for communal cooking. There's an amazing outdoor conversation area under a canopy with intimate lighting and cozy seating. What's not to love? Maria, caretaker, was a joy to work with. She was very hospitable, putting fresh flowers in multiple rooms and a large bowl of fruits and vegetables from the property in the kitchen to welcome us. She was attentive without being the least bit intrusive. All in all, Terra Nova was the perfect place for our family to gather. I highly recommend - it's very special.
Wedding Weekend - Beth W - June 2016
When our daughter requested home-baked cookies for her wedding we knew we would have to find local accommodations that included a working kitchen and oven. As soon as we found Terra Nova we knew we discovered the perfect place for our family. Upon arrival, we realized Terra Nova by far surpassed our expectations. It was furnished beyond belief, including fresh flowers. Richard was there to welcome us and give us an orientation to the home. The kitchen is equipped with a Viking double oven and a huge SubZero refrigerator/freezer, and literally everything you need to make a complete meal (or 300 cookies for a wedding!). We immediately felt at home and were able to enjoy the weekend with our family and friends. The surrounding decks and grounds are very serene yet convenient to local restaurants, stores and downtown area. It is necessary to have a mode of transportation since the local conveniences are not readily walkable. Our stay was nothing short of amazing, we would unquestionably return. Great stay for the wedding weekend but would also be a fantastic place for a relaxing retreat. Highly recommended.
Excellent Wine Country Home - Tom T - Dec 2015
We rented Terra Nova for a week in October for wine-tasting and relaxing. The location was perfect in that is was remote enough to be quiet and peaceful but also close to a variety of markets, restaurants and wineries. The property was as advertised with everything you needed for an enjoyable vacation. Richard and Maria were very helpful and easy to work with. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the location, hosts and the house.
A wonderful family Christmas - Sandra M - Jan 2016
We had such a wonderful Christmas at Terra Nova. My son and daughter and three grandchildren were able to enjoy all of the amenities of home. Richard and Maria had put up a tree and decorated the house when we arrived. They were terrific hosts checking on us periodically and making sure everything was going well. The house was very comfortable and everyone was very happy with their respective rooms and beds. The property itself is lovely and secluded and the children played happily outside in the very nice yard. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked a lovely Christmas dinner with ease. We all loved the big screen TV in the living room and enjoyed watching Christmas movies together. I would recommend this home to anyone heading to Sebastopol as it has all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting with very nice hosts!
Home sweet Home - Marty A - Sept 2015
We went on a cycle, wine, and relax weekend with 2 other couples and our home base had it all. The comforts of a five star resort without the room service charge. Hot Tub, BBQ, grounds and the home accoutrements made for a first class trip. Thanks!
Family wedding - Joe L - July 2015
My family stayed here for my wedding and they raved about it. They did not get out much as much as anticipated because they were content staying at Terra Nova and enjoying the large deck. It was great having them local and letting them enjoy the relaxed and natural atmosphere that Sebastopol has to offer.
We strive to provide our guests with the highest quality of service, and are
proud to have consistently received 5-Star reviews since opening in 2014.

A Super Sebastopol Getaway - Georgia V - Aug 2015
We were looking for a place that would be like a second home. This was perfect. There was a wonderful level of comfort for both adults and children. Our main goal was just to be together but we also enjoyed trips to the ocean, the redwoods and the annual apple festival. In the evenings we could relax on the porch and enjoy the hot tub. A truly wonderful week.
This was an absolutely MAGNIFICENT stay! - Larissa L - May 2017
This is a MUST-BOOK if you are visiting the area. Do not miss out on this one! The home was beautiful and comfortable beyond words. Plentiful outdoor seating areas were perfect for relaxing in the sun. The gardens and yards were a scenic paradise with sunny flowers and trees welcoming you in every direction. If you love the outdoors, this is the perfect place to enjoy your weekend. Every room had a variety of skylights bathing the place in beautiful sunlight. Amenities were top-notch: bathrooms were lovely and the kitchen was grand. The home is just a short drive away from Pacific Market - an amazing local grocery store full of delicious to-go foods and delicious fresh fare. We were in the area for a triathlon in Santa Rosa, and the home was also a stone's throw away from downtown Santa Rosa. Richard was an outstanding host, answering all of our questions and going above and beyond in both pre-trip communications and on-site needs. If you book anywhere else when visiting the area, you will truly missed out on a gem!
